License key is changing because store is now a subdomain

Question: I'm changing my AC so Wordpress hosts the pages and the ecommerce is AC. The main url is
http://www.website.com and the AC is becoming store.website.com. I think I did an oops. The wordpress is coming up fine, but the store has not propagated. Was I supposed to put the store.website license key in prior to the move, and if so, how do I get to it, now that I've moved the website.com to wordpress? Would that keep it from coming up?

You need to request a new key! Just login to your account with us and go to your order. At the bottom, there is a form to request keys. Just let us know the new website name and we'll gladly exchange the key for you.

Thank you. I have already received the new key, but I did not enter it prior to repointing store.website.com to AC. It hasn't propagated yet, and I'm wondering if that is why. Would that keep it from coming up under the url store.website.com? And now I don't know how to get into the admin panel to enter the new license key. Did I mess up or it's just taking a long time? Thank you.

I'm not sure which version you are using, so I'll point you to the instructions.
For 7.0.x installs, see

Go down to the section "3) Install a License Key after AbleCommerce has expired or no longer accessible"
For Gold installs, see

The instructions are very much the same except if you are using a really old version of 7.0.x.
The basic idea is to delete the \app_data\commercebuilder.lic file. Then access any page and the update key form will appear. Then you will enter your new key.

Your DNS propagation is a totally separate issue.
The license key is bound to the domain name. So, once the key is installed, the site will only respond to the domain that it was issued for.
