Import error

We are having an issue where dataport is giving us some truncation errors on some records. I am not seeing what the problem is. I will be attaching a data file

What verson and build of AbleCommerce are you using? Truncation errors are caused from too much data being inserted into the database where the field size is too small. We had fixed a couple database fields in the last update to Able.

Here is the mapping

Instead of posting the mapping manually, alternately you can save your mapping using DataPort as a template and can re-use (or share) it easily. I hope you can easily find the "Save mapping as a new template" option on CSV import/export screens.


Regarding the CSV sample data provided, you are not using any text qualifier. Use either single quote or double quote characters as text qualifiers.

And the string truncation errors most like may occurs for some database fields for which you are trying to import lengthy string data. Like if your "Name" or "ThumbnailUrl" fields have more data then the field length in database. You can avoid these by manually reducing length of these fields in CSV data.
