Download Selected Products gives error

When trying to download only products in one category, I get this error. I don't get it when downloading all products, just when I try to choose Select Categories (whether I include sub categories or not). I added a test product in that category, and want to see how to format the csv file for product import. For now I am just grabbing all of them.

The error is:
Authentication Failed. An unknown error occured while processing request. Exception Message: The text, ntext, or image data type cannot be selected as DISTINCT.
at CommerceBuilder.DataClient.Api.ACRequestHandler.ProcessRequest(String requestXml)
at ClientApiService.ProcessRequest(HttpContext context)

I am using Dataport version 7.0.2.1 and AbleCommerce 7.0.2 build 11659

I think you are using SQL server 2000 database?

Yes. We are. Does the DataPort not support a SQL Server 2000 database?

DataPort supports Sql Server 2000 database. But there may be some minor issues because it is not tested for SQL Server 2000 installs.

We are also getting this error with the 7.03 dataport and a 7.03 site. The site was installed on SQL Server 2000 but recently migrated to a 2005 SQL server.

Here's the info from the About Able Commerce:

PLATFORM: ASP.NET
VERSION: 7.0.3
BUILD: 12458
MSSQL v2005
AC SCHEMA v2000

I checked the bug but it doesn't seem to have a resolution.
