product xml import

I saw some discussion that we can specify matching fields (such as sku) instead of productid during the import process. However, when I try to do the xml import on products, it is using productid and I can't find anywhere to specify the matching field and the process also not ask. Note. I'm using dataport 7.0.3 beta

The only way to use custom matching fields while importing products is to use Products CSV import feature in DataPort 7.0.3.1 beta. The options are available on screen.

However it will not be possible to use custom matching fields using xml import. I have logged a feature enhancement request at bugzilla and hopefully we will be able to add this ability to next release of DataPort. You can track its progress at:
