Weight? 7.0.3

Hello everyone,

I am new to able. I've had great success with the dataport. Every field has linked up and works perfectly. except for weight. No matter what I do the weight never changes.

I even did a feed with just: Name Weight

Nothing! Anyone else having issues with that? Weight is such an important field. I am being held up by it.

Anyone out there had this problem? Really need to get my weights in and I just cannot figure out what is going wrong for the life of me. I am attaching a sample part of my feed.

As you can see everything lines u;.. and my weight is in normal values i.e. 1, 0.5, 1.5, etc.

Anyone? I need these weights to go in so I can go live.

I just installed the beta dataport in hopes of fixing this. Still no weight. Everything works 100% except that field.

Just test it with beta version of DataPort and its working. Make sure that you are not missing something. For example after installing the beta version of data port put corresponding Bin and ClientAPi files in your website for 7.0.3. Secondly screen shot you posted does not contain any product id field defined in import sheet section make sure that you are providing a valid product id or if you are using custom match field then make sure CSV is having that field.

Sorry I overlooked CSV file posted by you and now I am able to reproduce it with this file. It seems to me that its happening when CSV import makes use of match field feature import/update. I have logged it you can track progress here

Yes. I am using the match fields because I am importing all new products.

Thanks for logging it. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Any thought on how I can get this weight in before the fix? It's the last part of my site before I push live... on a strict schedule too.

I put in fake ProductID's to see if I received weight.. still nothing. Any ideas?

Regarding your provided CSV data I have noticed a small issue and upon fixing that I was able to successfully import the weights data.

Here is your CSV header information:

Sku,Name,Price,CostOfGoods,Categories,Vendor,Manufacturer, Weight

Please replace the above with this one:

Sku,Name,Price,CostOfGoods,Categories,Vendor,Manufacturer,Weight

The only slight difference is an extra space character in header, just before "Weight" column header. After removing the space character you will be able to import your CSV data. I have also updated the respective logged bug report for the real issue.
