Prcing Rules & Product Template

I am currently running a demo on the Able sever and can't test the dataport tool out.
I have two questions.

Can Prising Rules be imported? I would need to import a price and what usergroup the rule would need to apply to. I don't need to import dates, but can if nessary.

I would also need to assign the product template which looks like this can be done, but I am going to also need to import the selections for each product..

Yes you can import them using XML import feature of DataPort. Please read following topic http://wiki.ablecommerce.com/index.php/ ... rt_Utility to learn about DataPort.

Who can recommend a easy to learn XML editor?

I used XML Marker and that's pretty easy. Its free as well. http://symbolclick.com/download.htm

I looked at both of those.
the only problem that I am seeing is, and I may be wrong.
Even using the xml editors, I still will need to enter the data manuall one line at a time.
It doesn't look like I can use a formula in a cell and copy it into a entire column.
Correct me if I am wrong.

yep you are right. You can't do the formulas etc.
