Upgrading to Gold: Some Questions

Hi,

We have a heavily customized dev site running gold and a production site running 7.0.7.

I have read http://help.ablecommerce.com/upgrades/a ... o_gold.htm and it seems pretty clear, but I'd just like to make sure I understand everything.

The steps for go-live are:
1. Take the live store offline.
2. Back up the live site's db.
3. Run /Install/Upgrade.aspx on the dev site.
4. After confirming everything (customers, products, etc.) is working on the dev site, move the live site's directory and copy over the dev site's directory over top of it.
5. Update the license key.
6. Test!

Anything else?

It would be much cleaner to run the upgrade site from a new folder instead of copying over the top of the old site. Copying over the top of the old site will leave many, many 7.x files behind that do not belong with the install.
