Address Verfication

I see in the code address verification appears to be a feature however I am unable to determine how to implement it. This would be a great feature and save on shipping costs and headaches. Does anyone know how this works, can be implemented and/or integrated via a third party?

You can implement AVS through the USPS gateway. Here is a link to the configuration page:

You only need a UPS account with the service enabled, and you don't need to use the shipping services. Once activated, it will automatically appear on the billing page when an address is entered that is different from USPS records.
