SQL Server 2014

Post by Brewhaus » Wed Dec 17, 2014 3:23 pm

I have been unable to find anything on this in the forums, but we are looking to upgrade from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2014. AC lists SQL Server 2012 as being compatible, but they do not specifically list SQL Server 2014. Is anyone running SQL Server 2014 on their AC site(s)? If so, did you experience any issues? As a worst case scenario I expect that AC will run fine on SQL 2014 providing compatibility is left no higher than SQL 2012, but I want to know before purchasing a new version of SQL and before trying to upgrade our db's.

I use SQL 2014 - no problems with anything that connects to it. Do be cognizant of the compat levels and collation on your databases. Windows Server 2012 R2 + SQL Server 2014 is heaven! Microsoft has really gotten everything to such great levels. I highly recommend both.

Thank you, NC. I don't plan to upgrade the OS right now (Server 2008 R2), and working fine, but we need to upgrade SQL Server as we are running SQL Server 2008, and the software that we are moving our non-ecomm sites to will not work on anything below SQL 2008 R2. If I am upgrading then I want to go to the most recent.
