I'm adding products, and upon uploading an image with transparency, the upload code does not preserve the image transparency. Transparency gets converted to a black background. This applies to both GIF and PNG file formats.
This was working in the old Able Commerce 5.5. I've attached a couple of images that worked without a problem in that environment. You can open either of the attached files in a browser. The CD hole and the area around the edges of the CD are transparent.
The choose file dialog shows several options. In the "Save as" field, I tried a file name of Name.gif for the GIF, and one of Name.PNG for the PNG. I also had both options checked (Generate thumbnail & icon images and REsize main image to standard...). I also tried setting the Quality to 0 and to 100%. In all these scenarios, the transparent backgrounds still appeared as black.
I'll change my product background transparencies to White to work around this problem. At some point this bug needs to be fixed. Thanks.
