ConLib control parameters

Using Gold R3. I've noticed that the ConLib controls, such as BasketShippingEstimate (a sidebar widget), still have parameters. When I edit a layout (e.g., the Category Layout) in the Admin panel, however, there's no means for specifying any of the parameter values. How am I expected to do that?

I'm particularly concerned that if I manually edit the layout's .master page, and then somebody later makes an update using the layout page, that my parameter values will be lost. Will they remain? What if the control is unselected and then reselected?

Layout editing page provide basic layout creation features, but it do not provide any options to set the ConLib control parameters. However if you want more control over the layout sidebars then the only option is to manually edit the master page and setup the parameters for ConLib controls.

Parameter changes will not be preserved, if you will edit/update such layout using the layout manager page.

I had found that out also and gave Able feedback on it, especially since changing a component in the admin overwrites the page code where the parameters had to be entered to work.
