I am having some problems with the product options/choices. 2 different things are happening:
1. When a product is saved the product options keep duplicating (see attached screen shot).
2. When I try and delete a product option I get the following error:
An error has occured at

Couldn't reproduce this. Can you please explain steps to reproduce. Which version of AC Gold are you using? Are you using any custom code?

We just figured out that this happens when you duplicate a product. Here are the steps and the detailed information:
1. Create a new product that has several options (i.e. size and color). For each option have several choices. (i.e. size: small, medium large and color: red, blue, green).
2. Save and close the product.
3. From the list view select the "copy" icon.
4. Go back into the original product and there are multiple of each option (see screen shot from original post).

Which version of AC Gold are you using? We could not reproduced this in R4 and R5.

AbleCommerce Gold (build 4194)
We also just experienced another issue. We have setup and custom skus have been setup for each combination under the "manage variants". Then we reordered the options for size and color. Then when we went back under manage variants all of our custom skus were gone.

Hello,
Build 4194 is our very first release of AbleCommerce Gold, which was back in August 2012. Since then, we have release R2, R3, R4, and soon R5 will be out. It is very likely this issue and many others will be fixed when you upgrade.
The change logs are provided with each release we make. For more information, please see help.ablecommerce.com. If you need access to the upgrade files, then login to your Account and check the Downloads tab.
Thanks,
Katie

We are debating whether to install R4 or wait for R5. Do you know when R5 will be available?

We have a site in development using R4 build 5410 and she says that she sets a price for an option, then overrides the price for some of the variants and the prices revert, but it doesn't happen right away. The site is using Lucene search so maybe it is something related to that?
I can try to duplicate it on a local test site of mine, but I'm not sure it will happen if the site isn't being browsed. I'll post back on this.

I tested on an R5 site to see if the problem existed and it does. Our client is using R4 and we just tested copying a product on it and saw the behavior with the product losing variant prices. I'm going to post an official bug report, but here is how to duplicate the problem.
Create a product with an option (like color).
Set a price for each color on the edit choices page.
Go to manage variants and set a price there that is different from the option prices.
Copy the product.
New product and existing product both lose the new variant price.
Both sites are using SQL Search so it wasn't Lucene causing it.

Thanks Judy for reporting this through the Feedback tab. I have submitted a bug report to development.
