hi all,
tried a search of forum but could not find anything so.....
if i create an order from the admin pages and choose a product that has tracking enabled with backorder disabled and the quantity in the order exceeds the stock level then i get the correct message box with the choice of ordering anyway OR reducing the quantity to that available. if i choose to accept the reduced quantity the checkout continues but does not reduce the quantity in the basket. Any ideas folks?

What build are you using? You can find this information in the footer of any admin page.

Re: admin/createOrder with product tracking error
Hello,
There seems to be a small flaw in the pop-up choices. For example, if I have a product that I'm trying to add to the basket, but the amount exceeds the quantity available, then the pop-up has two choices: Continue, or Adjust the quantity. These both work. However, if I have a product that is 'Out of Stock' (and it will be indicated in the message), then there are still two choices to Continue or Adjust quantity to what is available. This is wrong. There should be only one choice, to Continue with the quantity specified. It doesn't make sense to Adjust the quantity in this case, because there are none available.
Are you trying to add an item that is actually 'out of stock', or an item that 'exceeds the amount available'. It is indicated in the pop-up message...
Thanks
Katie

Re: admin/createOrder with product tracking error
hi katie,
if i add item X with a quantity of 10 but there are only 5 in stock...
then i get the popup saying there are only 5 but if i select the 'adjust to quantity available' option and proceed then i am taken through to complete the order but the quantity is still 10 in the order.
thanks for looking.

Re: admin/createOrder with product tracking error
Ok, I see what's going on. The adjustment works if you use the Recalculate button, but if you use the Place Order button, the adjustment doesn't take place. I will report this as a bug.
In the meantime, the Recalculate button should be an acceptable solution. We indicate the actual stock quantities on the page, so changing them should be easy enough.
Thanks for letting us know.
Katie
