Moving Hosting & Database

I've decided to move my hosting and have transferred all my website files to the new host and installed SQL Server 2008 r2. I unchecked the SSL box in my current website and backed up the database and transferred to the new host. Now when I try to finish the setup process, I go to the install directory on the new host, and I passed all the file permission settings. I then get the AbleCommerce Gold License Agreement page, where it wants me to check that I agree to it. If I click the box to agree and click Next, the same screen appears with the box unchecked. This is an endless loop. I believe my database connection string to be correct. Does anyone have any ideas what I'm missing?

In a nutshell - you will want to do a fresh installation of AbleCommerce using the same version/build that your existing site is using. Use the same license key for the installation, and create a new blank database. Once AbleCommerce is installed, then you'll want to copy over any customized files, images, themes, etc. Just make sure not to override the config files. After that, you can go to Configure > Security > Database and point to the database from your original install, or simply restore the original database over the new (blank) one.

Thanks, but still getting the same agreement loop. I copied all files over to the new server, passed the permissions check, and am now at the screen where I have to agree to the T&C. I check the box, click Continue and it goes right back to the agreement page. This is where I was having the problem before. If I can get past this, I'm sure I'll be able to get it running. The file I used was AbleCommerceGold-GoldR6-b6169-WSP from my Able downloads in my account on Able's website.

So, you removed all the original files and put only the new ones from AbleCommerceGold-GoldR6-b6169-WSP in place? It sounds like you might have some files in the \install\ folder that don't belong.

I've got it working now. It just suddenly stopped doing that loop. Thanks!
