R6 Taxes Detail is confusing

When you run the Taxes report in R6, you have the ability to filter the display by region and by province.
But the details page (accessible by clicking a linked tax name) does not filter by the same criteria. The details page shows you ALL taxes involved with the location code, regardless of the Summary page region/province filter settings.
For example, when the summary page shows me "Taxes Collected $ 1.56", I expect to see the tax details page totaling $ 1.56 in taxes. But it doesn't when the same location code is used for multiple provinces.
This creates significant confusion. You cannot use the details page to validate the totals on the summary page or identify what orders comprised the summary page tax total.
