Avalara Tax 7.0.7 tax exempt bug- Is Gold R8 OK

There is a post about a problem with tax exempt customers in Able 7.

Has that been fixed in Gold R8 so tax exempt customers won't get charged tax?

Judy,
I am nearly positive that this works in Gold. I remember testing AvaTax myself and the integration is certified by Avalara. The problem is that I can't remember testing the tax exempt feature specifically because it's been a few months.

Thanks, Katie. We have a client thinking about an upgrade to Gold as a fix for that bug on his site.

Talk to Joe. He might be able to help. For this particular issue, I have been releasing the source code to the customer and then Joe can help fix the issue for a little extra cash...
Otherwise, you might want to wait until I have time to double-check and make sure it is working in Gold. I am swamped right now, so I just can't say when that will happen. I will try to contact Avalara to see if they remember.
