Hi!
If I install the latest Gold on my server using a developer license like dev.website.com, then when I'm ready to go live is it just to replace the license with the real one or do I have to do something else like updating the database with something?
Is it possible to have a developer license that not messes up the address for the orders?

I'm not usually the one who switches our sites from dev to live, but if replacing the file doesn't do it, you will probably get a prompt to enter the new key, or you can enter it into the admin before you do the switch. Configure-->Security-->Licensing. A development license doesn't mess up the addresses, it happens if you are running the site in demo mode, maybe because you don't have the dev site license that matches the url. You can disable demo mode on the same admin page as the licensing.

Re: Developer license --> to live site
One thing you can do is get a production license that has your development website in the same key.
In Gold, we removed the nag screen for dev licenses, but we have to do something to make the dev license different than production, so that is why real address info is wiped out on checkout. Using a production key with your live a dev website would solve that issue and make it easier to switch from dev to live.
