Same items no stacking

Since moving to gold I have seen multiple orders where a customer will have the same item listed twice. It will show this way on invoices and in admin when viewing the order. We never saw this in 7.0.7

Never seen this before. Can you reproduce the issue yourself by adding two of the same item to the cart?

I cannot but I have had it happen at least twice since moving to gold.

Well, I don't know. I tried to reproduce the issue with this product and had no luck. Even if you have 1 item in the basket, leave the page, add other items to the basket, and then return to the original one, you'll see an UPDATE cart button instead of an ADD TO CART button. We spent quite a bit of time on this issue a few versions back. There are no known issues that I have seen reported.

Was it with same product? If different do these products have any common characteristics like digital goods, subscription, kits or variants etc.

It was two different products and they are not kits, subscriptions, variants, etc.. just normal products and not even in the same category, etc..
If you want to figure out a SQL statement that will show any orders with double listed items I will run it and see what it shows.
