Multi-language support

My client wants to add support for multiple languages to the site. I've searched around and I'm not seeing any current information on this for AbleCommerce. Has anyone successfully implemented multiple languages for a single site? What are the options?

For AbleCommerce Gold we do not support multiple languages at the moment. We have some basic framework implemented for this purpose but the feature is not complete and finished. So, I am not sure if you will be able to make it work. You can look into this forum post for help:

There are some other options you may consider:

1. Use google translate widgets to make your website support multilingual. Check this tutorial for details:

2. Use some alternate similar applications, like Wix

Is there a target date or release for which you expect to have support complete?

Unfortunately, it has not been requested through the Feedback system. Please go to this page to make your request -

it would be cool if you supported the native .net solution for localization which has been around forever. It involves having the translated strings for your product data (and ablecommerce would have to have the same for the text of the controls). Google translate is sort of hit and miss from what I understand. It's better than nothing but not ideal.
