ShipStation Tracking Numbers for Pickup

Hello,
We have a client with a good amount of pick-up orders. In shipStation when marking a pickup order as "shipped" he's adding in the tracking number field "Pickup at store + date", but the tracking number is never imported into Able, regardless of which ship method is picked from the dropdown.

Is there a solution to import all tracking numbers, regardless of the content?

I just did a couple quick tests using a "Pickup" shipping method. After exporting the orders to Shipstation, I generated a shipment. Then I did a resync with AbleCommerce. For both orders, the tracking number was imported but the shipping method remained the same. I think this is intentional because we can't map a Shipstation shipping method to AbleCommerce.

So, it does appear to be working. What version and build are you using?

We're using R11. Our client wants the tracking number to be something like this: "Pickup the Next Business Day after 3pm at Company Name in city/state"

Does the tracking number has to be in a standard format or anything can be entered into the tracking number textbox?

You can enter this text for the tracking number in AbleCommerce, but you indicated that this was a problem with ShipStation so now I'm not sure if this is what you need.

I'm sorry I was not clear. The problem is not with ShipStation, but with how Able is importing the tracking numbers from ShipStation.

Entering this text (Or something similar that doesn't resemble a traditional tracking number format):

"Pickup the Next Business Day after 3pm at Company Name in city/state"

in shipStation's tracking number textbox when marking a pickup order as "shipped" will not import the tracking number into Able during the "Sync statuses" process.

The only feature that I've used in ShipStation is the "Create Label" button which generates a tracking number and print label. I'm not even sure where you are able to enter some text in place of a tracking number. If it's some custom field in ShipStation, then it would explain why it's not being imported as a tracking number.

It would help if you can provide a screenshot in ShipStation, so I can see where you can enter text instead of a tracking number.

In ShipStation click on "Orders" tab, and select any order. Then "Other Actions" -> "Mark As Shipped". Screenshot attached.

After you add the text for the Tracking No. in ShipStation, can you find where it stored for the order? It's almost like it accepts this text string into the Tracking # field, but it is not creating a valid shipment (no validation occurs). In my testing, the orders where I generated a tracking No. within Shipstation appear on the Shipments page, yet the order where I manually marked it as shipped and entered the text does not appear on the Shipments page.

Has the merchant thought about using AbleCommerce to enter the text for the tracking number and excluding these orders from Shipstation? That would make more sense to me plus it should be less work for them too.

Like you, I can not see the order after I added the tracking number and marked as shipped and I don't know if we have a way of finding out where that value has been saved.
