Any thoughts of adding support for Square? They have an API, already PCI compliant.

Question for you Mike. Do you know if Square is actually PA-DSS certified or is it only compliant?

I ask because it looks like their API is using an Iframe which means the payment screen is not located with AbleCommerce. We are PA-DSS certified and have to go through a lot of red tape, fees, and documentation every time we release a version of AbleCommerce. When we add a new payment gateway, then we also have additional reviews that we need to go through. If we include something in our software that is not truly certified, then that might affect our ability to remain on the PA-DSS list.

I haven't spent a lot of time looking at the developer's guide, so maybe I am missing something...

I talked with our PCI specialist today and asked about payment gateways that use Iframes. He said they are certainly becoming more popular. So, for us, the good news is that it won't affect our own PA-DSS certification. But then he said that companies that use our software with a SAAS system will not be able to get PCI certified. Whether that's 100% true, I don't know. I just wanted to make sure that we are able to add the feature if it gets enough votes.
