UI for coupons and excluding products

Still developing my GOLD site but wanted to test a coupon issue I had in the past. Haven't tested yet but I wanted to comment on the coupon creation UI and workflow. I think it's a step back from 707 in several ways. Yes, the product search is more advanced, although for my needs the former was always fine. I created a coupon and I want to exclude products from the sale. I checked the items in the search list (or the all checkbox at the top) and then I expected to SAVE or APPLY this to the coupon as excluded items. I could not figure out how to get out of this screen, there is no save, commit, apply, etc. I figured out I had to link them (weird name for this) which I did by clicking the green + on the right, I'm guessing the global action on the lower left would have done the same. I had to use the breadcrumb to get back to the coupon which was odd. I then needed to add more so I clicked the link to add more exclusions and it was in the "add" mode so my search didn't show results until I changed the drop down for the filter to blank. Long story longer, please review the coupon system UI and workflows. It could use some improvement and this is probably a frequently used area that less tech savvy may not figure out or get frustrated.

If you are assigning multiple products, then you will probably want to use the checkbox and selection from the bottom of the grid. Or you can use the PLUS or red X buttons from the far right column to do this individually. The changes take place right away.

I agree. The problem on this page is that we have the CANCEL button incorrectly labeled. I think it would be more appropriate to label it BACK.

I'll report this as a bug in the UI.

If you have any other suggestions on how to improve the usability of this page, please let us know.

Thanks,
Katie

I think it's FINISH in 707.
