Updating Subscription Payment Card

We have a customer that wanted to change the credit card that they use to pay for their subscription. So our customer service rep told her to add a new payment profile with the new card and then make that they default payment method.

Is the the correct way to do this or is there something else that needs to be done also?

Hello Eldon,

Yes, that is somewhat correct, except that you will actually have them edit the payment profile from the subscriptions page. Setting the default payment method is what you would do to make that the selected one on checkout. The subscriptions have their own payment method that can be changed.

After the payment method has been changed, you can look at the subscription details from the admin side and confirm that the new payment method is now selected.
