While reviewing these reports over the weekend management noticed a major difference in the numbers these reports are generating.

If you look at the Sales by Product report the numbers generated for coupons and discounts are way off. The numbers reported on the Sales Over Time as well as all the reports under Reports->Sales appear to be correct.

They are not remembering that this was an issue in the past but can't pinpoint when it might have changed.

Can you help us understand where the numbers on the Sales By Product report are coming from and why they don't match any of the reports under the Reports->Sales options.

I think there was a problem with coupon & discount calculation on this report which was fixed and released in GoldR11 SP1. The entry AC8-2697 can be seen in R11 SR1 change log.
I think in your case Sales By Product report must be showing rather big amounts for coupons and discounts while correct reports should be showing less.
