We've have had a number of customers complain that the shipping quote increased on the payment page. I've tested and have been able to duplicate but not with any consistency. Any ideas on what would cause the shipping to increase from page to page? Makes it seem pretty sketchy from the customers point of view.

The only possible way that I can think of would be a change to the shipping address or products purchased. There is not much to go on. If you can reproduce it, even once, then post that information here and we can try to help further. Also, knowing a bit about the shipping service you provide would be helpful (UPS, USPS, Custom Rates, etc).

No change in products or address, it's simply going from shipping page to payment page with the standard checkout. We're using UPS negotiated rates with only ground as the option.

Here is the best example I've been able to reproduce. The initial quote was 17.72 on the shipping page and then went to payment page (which still showed 17.72), clicked back to shipping page (quote changed to 20.61) and summary still showed 17.72 (as shown in attached). Went back to payment page and summary showed 20.61, updating the total to $159.50. At no time were the products changed or address.
