We offer a subscription for our customers and they can choose between a few options - for example then can pay monthly or get a discount for paying for a full year in advance. As part of the product setup we have a subscription group set that all products are apart of and and customers get added to when they purchase the subscription. We use that group and check when customers login and give them access to subscription area of the store.
We have run into a problem when a customer changes from monthly to full year. What is happening is the customer is currently a monthly subscriber and then they decide to switch to annual subscription so they go ahead and purchase a full year. Then they are canceling the their monthly subscription. The problem is AC is removing them from the subscription group for all subscriptions not just the one they are cancelling, therefore their access to the that area of the store is denied. Their customer profile has the correct subscription associated with the customer account but they are not in the subscription group. And since we can not add/remove customers from the subscription groups via the admin area what I am then have to do is manually go into the ac_subscription_group table and add a record for that userid/groupid/subscriptionid to get them access.
Could we get someone to look into this and possibly provide a fix, we have recently discounted our annual subscription so it is starting to happen more often?
