Shipstation and customs form pricing

When orders are transferred to shipstation they do not reflect the discounted prices so customers are getting charged more for import fees. The only way to adjust this that I have seen is to go in and edit every items price in shipstation manually.

Is there a different way to approach this?

Please provide a little more detail about this issue -

they do not reflect the discounted prices so customers are getting charged more for import fees.

Which discounted prices are you speaking of? I don't understand what isn't working, so please provide some steps so I can try and reproduce this.

Thanks
Katie

If we have for instance a 10% sale.. the prices carried over to shipstation do not reflect the sale prices..just the normal prices.

Sorry Tim. I think I was getting tired last night when I asked what now seems really obvious :) I will test this as soon as I can.

Thanks

I have confirmed this. The prices need to reflect actual price paid (minus discounts and coupons) for the international guys because of duties and taxes they may have to pay.

After doing more research, I can confirm that we have never tested or claimed to support custom forms. I'm not even sure it was an available feature when we initially wrote the integration.

I did find that you can make adjustments to pricing within Shipstation, so this gives you a work-around for the international orders.

It may not take much to get it working, but until a developer has a chance to review the code, it's hard to say for certain whether we can send in different item values because sometimes the discounts are based on order totals and not individual items.

Thanks

Correct.. as I said in the beginning "The only way to adjust this that I have seen is to go in and edit every items price in shipstation manually. "

This just really sucks when you have 50 or so items and they all have different discounts based on volume discounts. What is the logic with AC not storing a discount as part of the item price instead of doing a separate line item for the discounts? I am sure there is/was a good reason for it, I am just curious.

I don't see how this would be possible. Every price would have to be adjusted when the invoice was created. This would probably cause all kinds of accounting issues.

AbleCommerce 9.0.4 is updated to allow the merchant to use discounted prices when exporting to ShipStation. This is done under AC9-1350 which can be found in the changelog.
