Upgrading to 9.0.5 Question

When entering the site url to start the install the location is directed to : http://mysite/Install/Default I get error 404 directory not found
There definitely is no install folder in the website folder that I unzipped (the 9.0.5 WAP ), should there have been? I know I'm going to feel stupid but what am I missing?

I can view http://mysite/Assets/ContentImages/banner1.jpg just fine

Hi,

You are accessing the install URL correctly. Just make sure you have renamed the database_default.config and encryption_default.config under Website/App_Data folder to database.config and encryption.config respectively. These files should be default, that is there should be any connection string already set in there.

Thanks for the response! There is a new forum lol ok thank you.

There are already files in that folder named database.config and encryption.config and they have no connection info. The files are identical to the files that have "default" in the name.

I will post this question in the new forum. Still stuck

By the way, the install folder is under website/Areas/ directory. Also, make sure there is no CommerceBuilder.lic file inside App_Data folder. If there is one, delete it and try again! Thanks.
