I am basically very happy with the Ablecommerce Software (7.0 RC1). But, I think I may have discovered a couple of bugs and I'm wondering if anyone can help me out.
1.If you have a number of the same item in the shopping cart, the gift wrap options do not allow you to select different gift wraps for each indvidual product of the same item.
2.In the Admin site you are given the ability to select the order in which products are displayed, but how do you get the products to appear in that order on the store site?
3.Recalculating the shopping cart does not update estimated shipping cost. Is there simple code to update the shipping when the cart is recalculated?
Thanks.
A few issues... anybody else seen these?

Hello,
We I checkout and edit gift options, I'm given the ability to edit each of the packages. If I enter the same options those items are combined into one line item. Please give me more information on how to replicate the issue you're seeing.
Any of the category display pages that have the sort A to Z, Z to A, by manufacturer do not use the product sorting selections (there are other category display pages). The sort would be used when you viewing a product in the 'More Items in 'category' navigation.
The shipping is not shown in the basket page, so I'm not sure what you mean by.

To recreate the gift wrap issue, add a single product to the shopping cart. On the shopping cart page update the quantity of that product to 2 or more. Continue to checkout. Select gift options. We have 3 gift wrap styles: None, Everday, and Holiday. If you select "None" for the first product on the list it works. When you select "Everyday" for the second product on the list the gift wrap option for the first product becomes unselected. The radio buttons seem to toggle from product to product, and all products end up with the same wrap style. This only seems to happen when you use the "quantity" feature to add multiple products. (multiple of the same product).
On which category display page can I use the product sorting selections?
The shipping issue isn't with the actual shipping process, it is the Shipping Estimator which is on the Basket page. If you "estimate" your shipping costs and then update the cart you have to re-estimate the shipping. Would it be possible to trigger the shipping estimator when you recalculate the cart?
On another note, is there a way to force a new user to enter their default billing address before they get to the shipping section of the One Page Checkout. What is happening is new users are going through the checkout and they are entering a shipping address to another person, and that address becomes their billing address by default.

Hello,
I've replicated the issue with gift wrap and have reported to be fixed in our next release.
We are understaffed/overworked this week trying to get out our next release so I've not had a chance to check the category pages yet.
Doesn't sound like the shipping change will be a big deal, after our next release we'll get out a mod for this.
You can always disable the one page checkout and go with the old style checkout if you wish. Or if you should have any suggestions to improve the UI we'd be happy to listen. Maybe displaying both the billing and shipping address input areas by default, might be better?

There is a patch attached for the giftwrap issue, but it has yet to be independently confirmed.
Cheers,
