A customer called today wanting to add an item to his existing order.

But the original order total was already authorized. So I needed to first find the new item. Then add it to the order. And finally authorize another payment for the new balance on the order.

It's slick how AC7 handles it. Just pull up the order line items and search for the item to add it to his order. Then pull up payments and add a second payment for the remaining balance of his order.

Took like 2 minutes to do it all with the customer on the phone.

Did the shipping charges adjust as well when you added the new item? If it did, then that feature is REALLY SLICK.

The customer chose a flat-rate special on shipping that I've been running for a while, so there was no need to shipping to change.

That would be slick to see - hopefully 7.1 will gain that functionality.

It is VERY refreshing to have a cart where you can edit the order.
