changes made to store design not saving

I edited a category page and saved it. now every time I go back to try to change it again to something else the change won't hold. I click apply and save and it seems to work. but when I log out and log back in the change didn't take. any idea what's going on?

That depends on where you are changing it and what you are changing-- it's a little complex. Are you changing as you are viewing a category or from the scriplet in the admin? If you are doing something in a custom folder, make sure the pages that use that control are using the custom one. I have also had to make a new page under Scriplets-->custom for a category because the same scriplet there was being used by two categories and when I changed one of the category pages, it changed the other one.
