Web Hosting company recommendations

I'm looking for a fast Web Hosting company to run AbleCommerce 7.0.
Right now I have it running on a shared plan with a hosting company
paying $30 a month, but it doesn't give consistent good performance.

If you have a good hosting company that is fast and you're happy with it,
please let me know.

I'm willing to pay more for better performance. A dedicated server would be best,
but they cost a lot.
I will be building another AC7 site and will need hosting for that one too. Would
getting a dedicated server and installing these 2 websites on it be a good idea?

Is a Virtual Dedicated Server any better than shared hosting?

I am much more satisfied using my VPS over shared hosting. I went through triple8.net which has been great since they moved me to a new server... It was spotty there for a bit though.
