Checkout page timeout

I have two problems that may be interrelated. The first problem is that when a customer checks out and selects a credit card or P.O. the basket times out. I'm using Authroize.net to process credit cards. My other issue is when customers change their payment type items in their are deleted from their basket. I'm using AC 7 build 10863.

Which browser you are using? Did you customized the cart?

I'm using IE 6 and I did customize the cart.

I just test the ac7stable demo, its working fie not time out.

I understand the ablecommerce demo site works but how can I resolve the problem I'm having? Should I overwrite all the files in ./checkout/?
