I'm getting "info@yourdomain.xyz" as sent-from on emails

Post by William M » Tue May 12, 2009 10:25 am

Sometimes, I'm not seeing my email address as the 'sent-from' address. I've got it set correctly as shown below Yellow fields), I'm still getting "info@yourdomain.xyz".

I'm getting this return address when I send from the order info pages... when I click on the customer's email to send a new email or re-send, or added note.

New orders show the correct return address.

Is there another place to set the 'from' addy?

I think I've found that each template needs to have the 'from' email saved to it individually. Correct?

I think if you check the box Update Existing Templates, it will change all of them.

That didn't work, but it only took a minute to update the few I'll be using. Also, I needed to add my addy to the BCC field on a few of them. Overkill, but I like to see what's going out.

I'm coming from a store that has email controls from the 90's. This level of attention to communications with the outside world is refreshing... if a bit complicated.
