Was this Googlebase? Did you move the site? If so, the path for the feed to write to is stored in the database and might need to be changed.

yes, googlebase. I didnt move anything. Just started happening after removing items and adding others. It gets to about 64,000 items and then shows the error.

You know what... Well, I believe this was back in the 5.5 days but I would delete items and categories and products would pop up in the Orphaned Items list. I found that if there were any products in the Orphaned Items list you could not create a product feed. So you may want to look in there. I hope that's it.

Thanks, how do I find orphaned items and delete them? I am not familiar with this.

It's worth a shot to look and see if there are any orhpaned items.
In your Admin go to
Catalog >> Orphaned Items
and select the bullet for Products
if it returns any you can then assign them to categories
and then try running the feed builder again.
