Special Handling if Multiple Address and Multiple Warehouses

Post by ZLA » Wed Apr 01, 2009 4:20 pm

I'm evaluating AC7 .NET and see the user can enter Special Handling Instructions for each Shipping Address. If a shipping address contains products from two different warehouses causing that shipping address to have two shipments, would there be one Special Handling Instructions for that address or two? In other words, which of the following examples is correct?

Example 1
  • Shipping Address 1 - Special Instructions 1
    • Shipment 1A (Warehouse 1)
      Shipment 1B (Warehouse 2)
    • Shipping Address 2 - Special Instructions 2
    Shipment 2A (Warehouse 1)
Example 2
  • Shipping Address 1
    • Shipment 1A (Warehouse 1) - Special Instructions 1A
      Shipment 1B (Warehouse 2) - Special Instructions 1B
    Shipping Address 2
    • Shipment 2A (Warehouse 1) - Special Instructions 2
Thanks in advance.

When checking out if you select MULTIPLE DESTINATIONS options and create multiple shipments the multiple shipment page allows you specify instructions for each shipment. Check following screen capture

Thanks for the confirmation Mazhar. Able Commerce fixed the problem with the demo and I was able to see that Example 2 is what the system produces.
