Sale by Manufacturer instead of entering coupon code

Is there a way to enter a percentage off sale by manufacturer, then to enter each product separately under a coupon code?

This way, customers can automatically receive the discount and save a lot of time by not having to enter each product manually under the coupon. If not, can you enter a coupon code by manufacturer instead of by product.

Do you ever offer training classes on working with the software? There is not much written information on working with the cart after it's installed. I've lost miles of time trying to figure out best practices and how to improve services, especially with dealing with the Orders Manager. I'm still sure that there are several things that we can do better.

Currently application doesn't have functionality to define coupons for Manufacturer, but there is a workaround for this. You can achieve same results via product coupon. For this all you need is to adjust you product search page within coupon area to search products against specified manufacturer. So once you are done with this change, you can define a product coupon and then mark it available on selected products. By doing so it will bring product search page with manufacturer support where you can search for desired manufacturer and then select all returned products. I am attaching the modified search page in this post, all you need is to take backup of your existing Admin/Marketing/Coupon/CouponProducts.aspx file and then replace it with the one available here in this post.
