Our website has some marketing pages other than the shopping cart. The shopping cart software is installed in the wwwroot\ac7 directory while the marketing pages are in home (wwwroot) directory and wwwroot\doc. I tried to use some of the shopping cart controls in the marketing pages (such as the product finder and minicart). I added those like the shopping cart pages but got "Server Error in '/' Application" runtime error. I think it is due to the web.config but am not sure what is needed? Thanks!

First of all in order to use AbleCommerce code bring those pages under AC7 directory. For example put them in Root/AC7/Doc folder. Secondly it would be better to create shopping cart pages for those custom pages. Read following topic about how to add new pages to root.

You mean there is no way to use any AC controls if the page is not under the root/ac7 or lower subfolder.
The reason I asked is that the store is only a small part of our site. I was hoping that a few pages can use the AC controls (such as minibasket or product finder) so that it is more integrated.
