Product Feeds to Comparison Shopping Engines

Hi all,

We are getting ready to begin migrating into Able Commerce from Yahoo Stores. One issue we're unclear of is how Able handles product feeds to comparison shopping engines. We see that Able has 3 engines built in, Google Base, Yahoo Shopping and Shopping.com. We however have many more we need to continue feeding to like Nextag, FindGift, Become, Pronto and others.

We use a 3rd party technology to help with the actual product feed to each shopping engines, like mapping our fields to theirs, bid management, etc. We need to get our products fed over to this 3rd party each night. Does Able have a product XML file that we can point to for our product feeds? Or put another way, how do you all handle feeding to shopping engines beyond the 3 built in?

Those three are supported out of the box, for other you can write a custom feed provider. Please read following wiki topic about custom feed providers

We're very new to this technology. The code you pointed to, where does that go and what does it do? Does it make the product feed file and parks it on our server? Then we point to it from our 3rd party product feed vendor to go retrieve each evening? Thanks again.
