Left Flyout Menu recommendation

Post by Mike718NY » Tue Oct 06, 2009 1:19 pm

Anybody currently using a Left Navigation Flyout Menu?
I've seen a lot of posts about this on here, but would like to hear from current users of it.

Is it worth implementing?
I'll only need a two-level menu.

I had used the component art one on a couple of sites and the search engine rankings dropped drastically. Then when I took it off, they went back up again.

Actually that was one of my main concern, SEO.
I remember reading something about this somewhere.
SEO is obviously much more important than the flyout menu and won't use it if SEO is affected.
Thanks

We have one site where we used a repeater contol that output the menu in <ul> and <li> tags, which is better for SEO than all the output the Component art one generated.
Then it was styled to flyout with the css file.
