front end home page

Post by caren » Tue Aug 24, 2010 10:14 pm

I just went live with my AC7 upgrade (from 5.5).
Much to my surprise I see the home page for the shopping cart at my URL, instead of the main page that has all the information. So none of the content pages are available.
In 5.5 version I had about 30 pages on the front end (what some have referred to as the content or brochure), then when they were ready to buy they entered the AbleCommerace .aspx world.
I want that structure back.
I don't want to have to do scriptlets for all those pages. I am resigned to my shopping cart looking different (header, layout, but similar colors) from the content since I can't make AC look like the main part that I just recently upgraded. So if possible I would like to go back to html at the front and linking into AC.
I imagine there is something to change in the url path and file names, but I'm not clear about what it is or where to change that.
Thanks for your help.

Dynamic content pages through database can be created by using web page option. You can create web pages in a category. Have a look at following thread

If you want another page, like a static html page, to be the homepage, you can set that in IIS or your hoster can.
This site does it- to get to the store, you have to click on the order menu item.
