Issue with Add To Basket with IE but no other browser

We have implemented a condition in our store that prompts the user to answer a few questions based on the product selected. For example, there are four products in the list and whenever product 1 is selected, it displays the list of questions that are answered by selecting radio buttons. If product 2,3, or 4 is selected, the user should not be prompted. This works the way it should in all browswers. However, in IE, when the user selects product 2,3, or 4; the customer is not prompted (this is correct) but the list of questions appear underneath when (in IE6) the user hovers over the Add To Basket button or in (IE 7 and up) simply select product 2, 3, or 4. In Firefox or Google Chrome, this does not happen at all.

Has anyone experienced this or something similar. Is there a setting in Internet Explorer that I can change to prevent this?
