Hi,
We've tried to enable this feature from day 1 and it has never worked. We keep getting the 'File 'sysft_ac_SearchCatalog' cannot be reused until after the next BACKUP LOG operation' error. I've read other posts but I'm unclear what the solution is. We are on a dedicated server. I'm not sure what 'backup log' this error refers to. We backup server logs daily, we do sql backups daily. Is there a manual way to get this instituted?

Do you back up your database log - .ldf file?
Your hosting company should be able to help on this- it sounds like an issue with SQL Server.

Re: Unable to Enable Full Text Searching
Well well well... I went onto our server only to find that while all other databases were being backed up the store was not included in our backup set. Thus the problem. So after the backup, and transaction log backup full text search was able to be activated and works much better than the standard search. Thanks.
