Hello,
Just wondering if anyone has come across this, and how they have addressed this issue.
It seems that for any product or category names that have changed for us (due to misspelling or even manufacturer name changes), google seems to find both version of the page, and lists them as duplicate content, as, indeed, both urls will still resolve.
Is the only option to manually tell google to disregard the older version? I read some in the forums about canonical changes to able commerce after version 7.04, but didn't know if those changes would address this issue.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Scott

Howdy Scott,
Yes the use of the canonical link takes care of the issue by letting Google and other search engines know what is the official URL actually is.Is the only option to manually tell google to disregard the older version?
