I am looking at AbleCommerce 7.0 for a client. He wants a typical store and the ability to create "online catalogs" of a sort. I need to see how hard it would be to modify AbleCommerce to do this.
His clients are schools, company sports teams, etc. that want to sell their team-branded hats, shirts, etc on his online store. He wants to offer them a way to sell them on his store by providing each of his clients a custom catalog. So his store would be http://mystore.com, and each catalog would be http://mystore.com/someclientsname/.
The catalogs would differ in the following ways...
1. each has a distinct landing page
2. each offers their own products
The catalogs and the main store would all share the same look-and-feel for the remaining pages (product browsing, checkout, etc.). All the catalogs and the main store would run off a single installation (same SSL, domain, database, administration pages, etc.) .
We do web development, so we can customize it as needed, but I'm trying to find out how close AbleCommerce is to doing this out-of-the-box.
* Would this setup be allowed under a single license?
* Can it be configured this way?
* If yes to the above, and we configure it, roughly how many steps would it take to setup each new catalog?

forgot to mention that only one person would be the admin for the store + all catalogs.
