Product categories in Google Analytics Ecommerce

Google Analytics Ecommerce tracking features can show us product sales in a category.

Can someone tell me whether it reports sales in hidden and private categories?

We've got 5 private categories we only want use for accounting purposes. We want them hidden from our customers, but still need to be able to track sales within those categories.

Ideally, we want them private, but I can't tell if they're going to show in the Google Analytics reports if we do that.

I should add that all of the products in the categories are public -- only the categories themselves are private.
