How to give away a sample without requiring payment info?

I'm trying to set up a product that people can order from the site - it's a free 1-month sample of my solunar fishing and hunting times. I don't want them to have to enter any payment information.

I tried with a coupon that is a 100% discount, but AC7 still requires payment info to complete the order.

If I set the price to $0, well that can't even past the $10 minimum order setting - guess that makes sense.

Pricing rule doesn't work either - $10 minimum stops that as well.

So now I'm wondering if this can be done at all? Coupon seems to be the only way to make it past the minimum stopper, but then the checkout page still requires payment info even if the order total is zero.

Thoughts?

Maybe I'm only going to be able to offer this as an add-on to an existing order
