Can't get inventory count to display

I'm using a free trial now, and for the life of me, I can't get the products to display current inventory levels. I've configured the store settings to track, and display inventory.

In the Admin menu navigate to the Configure->Store and check the
Display Inventory option. It Should be set to YES
