LinkPoint gateway problem

Post by mike42 » Tue May 13, 2008 10:36 am

We are in the final stages of setting up our store, but we're having trouble getting payments to process.
We added the LinkPoint gateway through AC7’s admin, we added our merchant id, pem certificate (pem cert: FOUND), and options (Authorize, Live, Debug:Off), and we attempted an actual transaction. It seemed to go though from a user standpoint; we received the confirmation email and no error messages. But when we checked our LinkPoint account, no transactions had taken place. Then we checked AC7’s admin, and the authorization failed:
SGS-020005: Error (Merchant config file is missing, empty or cannot be read).
Transaction ID:12345678:0000
AVS:Unknown ()
CVV:Unknown ()
Is this an AC7 problem, did we set something up wrong, or is there something LinkPoint isn’t doing?

I guess either there is something that you need to configure at the providers site or you are trying to use your live account with staging server.

From http://www.error1002.com/sgs_errors.php
SGS-020005: Error (Merchant config file is missing, empty or cannot be read).

Normally you will receive this error when you are trying to use your live account with the staging server. In order to use the staging server you must first setup a separate test account on the following web site:
https://www.linkpoint.com/support/sup_teststore.asp

Also make sure you entered the correct store number. If you are using Yourpay you must enter the 10 digit store number. This is a common error for the Miva Merchant shopping cart because it asks for "storename." If you are setting up a shopping cart make sure you enter your store number when prompted for "storename."

I'll buy that something isn't set up right with our account on their site; someone else set that up. But we are in live mode on our live site, and I have tried both modes on both servers with both real and test card numbers. Thanks for your advice, I'll see if i can log into LinkPoint's site and figure out what the problem is.
