Shipping Methods Quit?

Post by Robbie@FireFold » Tue Aug 19, 2008 3:02 pm

Hey Guys,

Quick question - over the past month and a half we have been developing the site. Twice my shipping methods have just 'given' up on me. They just don't show - I have them in the admin.. but no zip code will pull up.

Has anyone else experienced this? Obviously an easy fix - but I can't have this happen on a live website.

It 100% could be something we are doing in development. Though we have done very little if any changes in that section.

I have three shipping methods.

Local Pickups(free to anyone in NC)
USPS - First Class, Priority Mail
UPS - Ground, Three Day, Two Day, Next Day Saver, Next Day, Next Day Am

USPS and UPS are showing as acitve in the back end, but will not show on the front.

Check your warehouse assignments. Make sure the shipping method is assigned to the same warehouse that your products are assigned.

AC7 matches up the product warehouse assignment to the shipping method warehouse assignment to determine what methods are available from that particular warehouse for that product.

If it's only intermittent, it's probably a timeout from the shipping carriers. I have it happen on my site from time-to-time. Usually a single refresh resolves the issue unless UPS or FedEx themselves go completely down.
